To submit new content:

1.Click on the link ‘Site Admin’ in the menu area.
2.Click on ‘Write’ at the top of the page - OR - Click on ‘Write Post’ in the main area of the page.

How to handle each area of the ‘Write Post’ page:

Title:
This is the title of your content.

Post:
This is where the content will go. You can use the formatting area located just above the post box to style your text.

Discussion:
Don’t worry about this portion. Make sure ‘Allow Comments’ and ‘Allow Pings’ are selected.

Password-Protect Post:
Don’t worry about this portion either. Leave it blank.

Post Slug:
This portion? Doesn’t matter. Leave it blank.

Categories:
This is where you may choose what area to put your content under. Select which categories best fit your contents subject.

Post Status:
Make sure ‘Draft’ is selected.

Post Timestamp:
Leave this alone.

Post Author:
If you have multiple username’s, you may choose which alias to use. Other than that, this feature is useless to most.

Optional Excerpt:
Don’t lost sleep over this, skip over it.

Trackbacks:
Ignore this portions wailing and screaming. It’ll do you no harm.

Custom Fields:
This may be obvious, but – no need for this as well. Move along.

What’s the purpose of GProgress?

Our goal is to give users the freedom of expression of humor, regardless of what the user may find funny. We want to create a gateway for all people to introduce their own sense of humor, and to find others with the same sense of humor.

When did GProgress start?

From it’s humbles begins in March 2005 as Anti-Joke, to it’s recent transformation in the first quarter of 2006, GProgress has been online providing people escapes from their real life with satirical writings.

Can I submit content I found on other websites?

Depending on the websites copyright notices, you may. Usually you can, but check to make sure - we don’t want any big hassles. if you don’t submit content which you did not create, please provide a link to the original source.

What all can I submit?

You can submit funny essays, humorous rants and rambling, instant messenger conversations, images, videos, flash animations, or anything else you find funny which wasn’t listed here.

How do I join?

To register as a member here (and to start posting material) you have to click on the link on the side bar called ‘Register’. This link is in the box called ‘Links’. Once you click it, fill out the required information, then you will recieve your password to whatever e-mail address you provided. Use that password to login by clicking the ‘Login’ link below the ‘Register’ link. Once you’re logged in, you’re ready to post!

I didn’t recieve my password, what do I do?

If you do not recieve your password in your e-mail, please first make sure it is not in your junk folder. Hotmail has a tendancy to put it in the junk folder. if you haven’t recieved it in either your inbox or junk folders from 30 minutes after you’ve registered, please e-mail Zach at zach@gprogress.com.
